4 DIY Notebooks For Back to School ✨.

I hope you guys enjoyed the video! Below I will leave all the paint color names and where I got them while leaving some tips and other notes as well!

Comment any questions you may have about making these below! I’ll try to answer all of them 🙂

– Even if your notebook doesn’t come out the way you wanted it to (I remade mine the first time because I didn’t like how they came out,) keep trying and improvise on what you think would look good. Use your creativity and have fun with it no matter what!

– Be patient. Make sure you let each layer dry after painting it because it could smudge if you don’t wait long enough. Be aware that it may take multiple layers to cover up everything behind it (the sunflowers took me about 4 layers each)

– Make sure to properly cover your notebooks by putting tape on the side and putting a plastic bag over everything put the cover of your notebook. The first time I tried this, I got paint all over the insides of the notebooks and so I was forced to buy new ones.

Spongebob Notebook Items Needed

*note- you can also just tape, cover, and spray paint the notebook instead of painting it by hand, or just find a notebook with the color background you need*

– a notebook

– One Large paint brush

– Shades of Blue (I used Cornflower and Robin’s Egg from Target; for a third color I mixed them together in the middle)

– Bright Colors for the sky flowers (I used Purple and Fuchsia mixed together, Light Yellow, Leaf Green, Cornflower *on the lighter part of the background,* Goldenrod, and Purple)

– Something to trace out the flower designs that will not show up with paint over (I used a wax chalk pen thing) *optional*

– Q-Tips (or a small paint brush)

One thing to be aware of with this is that on the flowers when using Q-tips to dot around your outlines, they may show up a little bit smudged, so make sure to add multiple layers and even go around the inside and out with the background color (the color behind the painted flower) to make the lines look clean and even.

Sunflower Notebook Items Needed

*tip- use your brush to blend the shades of yellow, orange and white together*

– A solid background color paint (I used a forest green but you could also do blac, pink, or really any other color that looks good with a sunflower)

– A darker Yellow paint (I used the shade of Goldenrod found at Target)

– Orange paint (for shading)

– White Paint (for highlights)

– Permanent marker of some type to write your initial(s) or a quote! You can basically write whatever fits (or nothing at all!) *OPTIONAL*

Chalkboard Paint Notebook

*Tip- after spray painting and letting it dry, take white chalk and rub it all over the surface and blend it in so you can’t see everything you write faded still after erasing*

– Chalkboard Spray Paint (or chalkboard paint if you want to paint it by hand)

– a notebook

– Chalk (It can be chalk pens, regular chalk, or chalk makers too *I used chalk makers*)

(You can letter, draw or write whatever you want on it after the paint dries!)

Avengers Comic Strip Notebook

– a notebook

– A comic book page of your choice (you can print one offline or you can also do this with magazine cut outs and make a collage as well)

– Packing tape (to seal off the paper once placed on the notebook)

– Washi Tape (I didn’t end up using this but could add a nice touch to your notebook) *OPTIONAL*

DIY fruit dip 🍓

Ps. The dip tastes really good w/ pretzels 🥨 {note- sorry I was mixing for like an hour 😦 }

QOTD~ Strawberries 🍓 or watermelon 🍉?

I prefer Watermelon 🍉 🙂 But it depends on how ripe the strawberries are!

Thanks so much for watching my video! If you have any ideas for any other things I could put on my blog, comment down below below what you think! Thanks again guys 🙂

5 Super Yummy snacks to make for the Super Bowl 🏈

Hey guys, it’s Morgan! This Sunday, Feb. 4, is the Super bowl, so I decided making some cute super bowl snacks would be perfect for today’s post! So without further ado, let’s get started!!

1. Crunchy Snack Mix 🍿

-The Things you need are –

  • Doritos
  • Cheetos
  • Cheddar Sun Chips
  • Chex Mix snack mix

This isn’t really “Football Themed” but it still tastes good! All you need to do is add about 2 cups of all the ingredients to a big bowl and munch!!

2. Football Strawberries 🍓

-The things you need are-

  • Chocolate chips
  • Strawberries
  • White chocolate chips
  • 1 small plastic bag

These are so cute and are pretty easy-mode! The first thing you do is pour some chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl and microwave them on 30 second increments. Stir in between. Next, wash your strawberries and dip them into the chocolate, about 3/4 deep. Put them on a plate and let dry.

After they are dry, melt some white chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl (on 30 second increments and remember to stir in between.) Pour the chocolate into the plastic bag and cut a little hole in the corner. Pipe a short line right in the middle of the strawberries and put three lines spread out from each other on the big line facing the other way so it looks like laces on a football!

Then, you are done!!

3. Team Player Popcorn 🍿

All the M&M’s and Marshmallows fell to the bottom, btw 🙈 Btw, all the M&M’s and marshmallows fell to the bottom when I took the picture!

-The things you need are-

  • Popcorn
  • Colors of your favorite team M&M’s
  • Pretzels
  • Mini Marshmallows

All you have to do is make a bowl of popcorn and add the mentioned ingredients here! This is super easy and you can make popcorn for any team you like (My favorite is the Patriots, so that is how I did it.)

4. Jersey Rice Crispy Treats -The things you need are-

  • 1 bag jumbo Marshmallows
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal
  • Color of your choice icing in an icing bag
  • Shirt cookie cutter
  • Food coloring

First, put a pot on a burner and set the burner to a medium setting. Place the butter in and move it around until it melts (You do not want to let it burn.) Next, turn up the burner setting a bit higher and add in the marshmallows, and stir them around until they melt. Once they are melted, add the food coloring if you like.Take them off the burner and add in the cereal. Stir until well combined. After they are well combined, press the treats into a pan and let cool. After they have cooled just a bit, use the cookie cutter to cut out as many shapes as possible. After you have your desired amount of treats, use your icing to draw an outline around the shirt and write a number in the center. Then you are done!!

5. Pretzel Bites -The things you need are-

  • Pretzel snaps
  • Rolo’s
  • M&M’s (Colors of your favorite team)

First, take some pretzel snaps and put them on a baking sheet. Place a Rolo on top of each pretzel snap, and put them in the oven on 275 for 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. After they are done, place a M&M on top of each pretzel bite. Then you are done!

Thank you so much for reading 📖 and tune in for next week’s post- Friday @5!

Thanks again guys!!

5 DIY crafts to make for your friend’s b-day :)

Hey guys, it’s Morgan! Today I’m going to show you some super cute things you can DIY for your friend’s birthday ( or another exciting event! ). I know there is a lot of birthdays this time of year, so I thought this would be the perfect post for today! Without further ado, let’s get started!!!

Candy Card

-The things you need are-

  • A bunch of different kinds of candy bars (more specified in text)
  • Poster board (white)
  • Tape

Start by writing your message (you can make up your own or look for one on Pinterest or online). Whenever you come to a word that sounds similar to a candy’s name, tape it down next to the word. Keep going until you are happy with your message 🙂

2. Locker Candy 🍭

-The things you need are-

– Sticky Notes

– Candies

– Tape

This is super easy and sure to put a smile on your friend’s face. Put sticky notes on the candy saying something related to the candy that also relates to you and your friend. For example: Write “I love you to pieces” on a sticky note and tape it to some Reese’s pieces. Tape these in your friend’s locker and it will be sure to make her Snicker(s) 😆

3. Mini Survival Kit

-The things you need are-

– Travel size essentials ( Such as bandaids, deodorant, snacks, etc.)

– Bento box ( Or another type of container)

– Paper

– Markers

– Tape

– Scissors

First things first, fill the bento box with all your essentials (be sure to pick out essentials that you know your friend will love!). Next, cut the paper to size and write “Emergency Kit” on it with the markers. Tape that on the front. Cut another piece of paper to size and write what items are in the kit and why they are important. Be sure to include a nice note too!

4. Friends Canvas

-The things you need are-

– Rainbow colored crayons

– A hair dryer

– A black permanent marker

– Pictures of you and your friend

– A hot glue gun

– A white canvas

First, hot glue the crayons across the canvas diagonally in a rainbow pattern. Use the hair dryer to melt the crayons and if you’re happy with what they look like, let them dry. After it is done drying, hot glue the pictures over the crayons (diagonally) so you can’t see them anymore. Finally, write, “Some friends are just worth melting for” right above the pictures (again, diagonally).

5. Open when… cards ♥️

-The things you need are-

– Paper

– Envelopes

– Markers

– Pens

– Pencils

– Colored Pencils

First, write some notes for your friend to open in the future like “open when you turn 16” or “open when you can’t sleep”. Then, seal them in cute decorated envelopes!

I hope you guys liked this post, and stay tuned for next week’s post on Friday @5!

DIY face mask ;)

Got dry skin? Make a face mask 😁 Here’s a video of me making (and trying) an oatmeal face mask! It’s kinda gross, but works well! ENJOY 😉

It’s my first video ever, so bear with me 😂

Here’s the recipe if you want to try it!

1/3 cup oatmeal

2 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons plain yogurt

1/2 cup hot, not boiling water

Instructions: Mix the oatmeal and the water and let it sit for two to three minutes.

Then add the other ingredients. Mix well and apply to your face. Keep it on for 10-15 minute. Wash off with warm water.

5 Winter-Themed Crafts :)

Hey guys!! Kicking off the winter season here with some super-fun crafts! Without further ado, let’s get started!!

1. Mason jar snow globe

The things you’ll need are: A Mason Jar, An action figure (or another type of figurine), a glue gun (with parent approval) baby oil, water and glitter.

First, Take the Mason jar and un-screw the lid. Take the lid and use the glue gun to glue the figurine to the bottom side of the lid. Let the glue dry. Next, take the bottom of the Mason jar and fill it with baby oil, water and glitter. Then, screw the lid back on and flip the jar upside down. Enjoy your new snow globe!!

I love this one from Hey, Let’s Make Stuff!

2. Cookie Cans

The things you’ll need are: A Pringles can, scrapbook paper, tape and ribbon.

First, take the Pringles can and cover it with the scrapbook paper. Then tape it so the paper holds in place. Then wrap the ribbon around the can and tie it in a bow. Now you have a cute can to hold cookies and treats that you are giving as a gift!

PS. The person you give it to will love it!!

3. Glitter Pinecones

The things you’ll need are: Spray adhesive, spray paint (optional, plus, you should get the spray paint the same color you get the glitter) , glitter (in whatever color you want!) and pinecones (I usually collect mine from a park near my house, but you can also get them at a craft store.)

First, spray the pinecones with the spray paint (again, optional). Next, spray them with the spray adhesive and dump the glitter all over the pinecones (Try to get in between the bristles!) Now you have some cute sparkly pinecones!

4. Ping-Pong Ball Lights (Snowball Lights)

The things you’ll need are: White Christmas lights, ping-pong balls and some sort of knife (parent supervision advised).

First, take the ping-pong balls and cut a small hole in the bottom of them with the knife so you can put the lights in. Then, poke each light through a hole in one of the ping-pong balls and then you are done!

These aren’t really winter-themed, so I made up my own name for them, snowball lights!

5. Woodland Candle

The things you’ll need are: A candle, some sticks, a rubber band and some twine.

First, take the sticks and cut them down to size so they fit onto the candle. Next, put the rubber band around the sticks to hold them in place sticks on the circumference of the candle. Then tie a bow with the twine around the candle, Then you are done!!!

Morgan’s Craft Corner: DIY Slime

Hi Guys, It’s Morgan! Today is my first ever craft corner and we are making DIY slime!! This is a classic and easy slime recipe to make + it is super fun to use! So, let’s get started! The things you will need are:

First, pour the glue bottle into the bowl. Stir. Then add a few drops of food coloring. Next add your glitter and mix well. Lastly, add some Tide and if it is still sticky when you stir in the Tide, add more of it. Ta-Da! Now you have amazing slime that is stretchy and fun to play with. Remember, don’t forget to knead the slime and keep it in a container or it most likely will dry out.

Thanks for reading this post and if you would like me to try a craft for you, email me and I will start crafting right away!
